Glasswork for me is an exploration of the details I find all around me.  Natural or man-made, I am fascinated with the little pieces that make up our world. When I travel I find most of the pictures I bring home are focused on some small detail of an ancient building built by long ago craftsmen, the lovely texture of moss on stones, and the amazing colors in everywhere. 

Jumbled up in my brain, these details:   Maybe today an old stone path, cracks in an urban sidewalk, a beautiful flower just opening up.  I use glass to try to express the sometimes giddy awe and joy I feel. 

I live in Portland, in old house surrounded by a large garden I love to play in, with 2 sweet, crazy cats, and 1 husband who patiently puts up with me.
