EMILY START’s Inspiration Point:

My work as a Licensed Massage Therapist informs me in many ways. I feel the effects of energy movement in my client and how profoundly it affects the person I’m massaging. This translates into my art work as I “draw” in the air in a 3-dimensional way with metal to show the graceful movement of energy. I love to include stones formed over thousands of years in the Earth. The combination of stone and metal creates a memory touch stone for the beholder.  I believe that the Artist’s work is to help one “smell” the roses in December. There is always comfort in familiar things and my work hopefully brings one to that place of recognition with a past experience or feeling.
