I am most inspired when I can connect a vision for a piece of jewelry with a metaphor on life.

I titled a recent series of work 'A River Runs Through It'. It was born from a beach walk where the sun was reflecting on the creek in just the right way as it merged with the ocean tides. Since then I've been adding a river of silver or gold and letting analogies emerge about rivers and life. There are many, but for the most part I find it helps to go with the flow and enjoy the ride.
